I got this idea while working on my PSL receiver blank project. It's just a piece of scrap sheet metal that will accurately locate the rear rivet holes for any fixed stock trunnion.
I attached the template to the trunnion and drilled the holes. When I attach it to a new trunnion all I need to do is insert 2 rivets and tighten the screw and they will be aligned perfectly.


Once the trunnion and template are installed I drill the first hole. I then insert a rivet to ensure that the template does not shift and drill the second hole. No more guessing or egging the holes. Perfect every time.
